Sometimes, it is all for the charity.

This is one of the things that we often overlooked. Charity.

Yes I know most of us think that we need to use our money mostly for our own use i.e pay the bills, eat, pay loans and buy shoes (just the way I like it).

This time, I am going to invite all of you to a very interesting charity event.

You can find out more about this charity event HERE, HERE and HERE. Trust me, it is going to be DOPE!

Sometimes, it is all for the charity.

Have a great weekend, and with all due respect, Selamat Hari Thaipusam to the Hindus.

Venice Honeymoon.

Something, for someone.

Venice Honeymoon

Whenever you feel lonely at night
And you can't possibly sleep
Everything doesn't feel right
And your heart wounded so deep

Whenever you feel that
No one is looking after you
Everyone seems bad
And every words sound so untrue

Just imagine we're lying on the floor of a gondola
Enjoying a fine dining on a fine evening
Cruising along the beautiful canals of Venice
The smell of you is a bliss I just can't miss

Watching the magical twinkling stars at night
Covered by beautiful buildings on the left and right

Sounds like a lovely night, no?

A summer sunset across the Grand Canal
Walking, hugging each other through every channels
Crossing the Rialto Bridge to the masquerade
To the Carnival of Venice and dance till our feet aches

Listen to the song of love I wrote for you
Sing it along with me on our honeymoon
Let Venice be the witness of our exchanged vows
And let us be miserable together to the infinite hours

Watching the magical twinkling stars at night
Covered by wonderful buildings on the left and right

Sounds like a lovely night, no?

It's not perfect, but it's honest.

S_A_E

Hi, today I have something to s_a_e with all of you.

First, I will try and to be s_a_e about this.

When I was growing up earlier, I used to s_a_e. I stopped already now but I still watch the videos and read magazines about it. It’s really fun. But I think I got involved because I had a lot of s_a_e time. Unfortunately one day I broke my wrist while I was on it. Funny thing is, I always tell this story to my kid brother to s_a_e him from getting involved, plus he’s huge no way that thing can hold him up. Other than that, I like to play cards, especially the Big Two game. You know, where the lowest card is the Three of Diamond, and the highest is the Two of S_a_e. It is a fun card game.

Speaking of career, I have grown s_a_e on my jobs and I need a long vacation. I have no time for my extracurricular activities anymore. Maybe I need some s_a_e, maybe I don’t. I don't know myself. But whatever it is I need to find a s_a_e and see how much I have gained. Damn, I need to keep myself in s_a_e again. Protein s_a_e, get ready to work!

Sometimes, I even forgot to s_a_e. Well, my face of course. The other parts only when my girlfriend feels disturbed or distracted, otherwise I just let it grow.

Honestly, I don’t think human should work so hard like a s_a_e because at the end of the day we are still fighting and trying to make ends meet. We have to liberate ourselves, and live our lives to the fullest. But I know only a very few s_a_e the same idea like me. It is okay for me, I don't blame them. Some of us just learned from the different books.

Now, I wanna tell you about something that I hate. I hate s_a_e. It freaks me out. I know this is a s_a_e thing to tell. So, do not try to be funny with me if you can’t take my bitch-slap.

Lastly, life is like a play on a big s_a_e, with actors and props and music and plots and dramas. You can either stand there alone and s_a_e at everyone without doing anything to improve yourselves, or follow the storyline that has been given to you, or, you can be different. You raise a bigger s_a_e in the play, and let others follow your storyline.

Memang dasar BUAYA!

Not me though. Them:

I like something different.

I like how simple twist creates something cynical, yet fresh.

I like these,

But to be honest, erkk, the last one is too much for my liking. In fact, it's kinda creepy, feels like you are being swamped by myriad of crocodiles. I don't think I can pull that off. Shit now I'm paranoid already!

Anyways, this special collection is a collaboration done between Lacoste and Estudio Campana, a design studio based in Sao Paulo founded by the Campana brothers, Fernando and Humberto.

I really think they did an awesome job, as far as design and creativity is concerned. Well, I know nothing about designs anyway, hence I'm the most suitable person to give critics.

Ladies, don't be sad, it comes in your fitting too. Surely not for the faint-hearted though. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Good thing is, it has a starting price tag of RM659 (for the basic - first t-shirt picture). I say it's cheap.

What?! Why?!

Well, simple math. If you buy the normal Lacoste Polo T-shirt, it cost you around what, RM299? So with this special design, you get about eight crocodiles on one t-shirt, and I'd say it's a steal!
The price is supposed to go up with more crocodiles on it (or bigger crocodile).

For more info, you can check out Lacoste x Campanas Collections HERE.

Yes, I'm so gonna buy this later.

One last thing,

COUTURE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.

Who is the real MAN?

I don't know why women really wants to be equal to men. I mean, yes I 100% agree that women should be treated and respected equally. And to have the fair amount of opportunity and chances to do what they wish to, and excel in whatever they do, and to pursue their happiness.

But, women want to be in the realm of men, yet they still act emotionally, often misjudge their conscience, and weep all the time. Well, I weep all the time too but I never want to be in the realm of women.

Please STOP hoping or expecting us to be like you; neat and tidy, organised, diet, smell good, SHAVED, sensitive, fussy and cute.

  • Just let us have our own Poker Night or Boys Night Out at least once a month.
  • Just let us mess around a little bit with the living room with snacks and drinks while watching football.
  • Just let us wear scabbed jeans with crumpy tee when we go out.
  • Just let us brag about our pastime as the football captain back in high school.
  • Just let us with our scruffiness - means we don't have to shower two times a day, or shave every week.
  • Just let us feed our sometimes undeserved ego, because we are MEN.
  • Just let us take care of you ladies, even though we look like we don't seem to care, we can't live without WOMEN. We ACCEPTED that fact LONG AGO.

BOYS WILL ALWAYS BE BOYS.

I'm just sharing with those trapped in the same dilemma.

I ain't being sexist. I love women; I love my mother, my sisters, my aunties, my girlfriend. I love women in general. But ladies, please, just let your man WEAR THE PANTS.

Climax.

I am trying, really.

For the next three months (until end of March or possibly until mid April) I will be sofa king bizi. I don't know if it's just me being a pussy and complaining all the time, or I am really sofa king bizi. I think I complain more than I should.

“Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it.”

Well there I go. Whiplash.

Not that I was not busy before this, in fact I did wrote about my current work situation HERE. But right now, it's just bleeding. To a point that I don't have time to go for my sports nights, my electone class, my gym sessions, no time to write and "no time" for many things.

I never believe in working till I'm out of blood. I'm all about work hard, and having fun to the max. But now, as I would really want to call "shits", it is actually "golds". So I decided to just let these people beat myself every fucking day, and if it's not enough, I'll beat myself even more. I am a masochist.

“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.”

But, despite the busyness that I am now, even when it's almost to the climax, I still have time for this cute video. Enjoy, suckers!

10 Leadership Drivers for 2010

It is the new decade, and I am still excited about it. Yes I have been too busy and too lazy to update my blog. The only thing I can do for my blog now is either post something really short and sweet, or copy and paste someone else's ideas. Sharing is caring, no?

As the start of the new year, I have to handle, assist and drive at least five projects, and still counting. This is not easy, and requires a lot of works, hard works, research, and planning.

So here are the big business issues that will drive the way we work in 2010 and some ideas on how to tackle them.

The economy

The recession forced organisations to cut costs and review supply chain efficiency. This will have caused restructuring and realigning, along some job losses, but it will leave businesses leaner, with the potential for higher profit margins in future. Management must continue to look for efficient delivery systems and resist the temptation to “add fat” when the economic situation improves.

Demographics

In South East Asia, 65 percent or more of the workforce will be under-35-years-old in less than a decade. This change also applies to customers. In 2012 the under-35 customer group becomes over 50 percent larger than the 40-50 range and they will have money to spend. Companies should ensure customer-facing staff reflect this shift to younger buyers. Inside companies, management needs to keep the balance of staff according to age groups proportions leveraging their skills and intellectual capital more effectively. Research shows the over-50s have better skills than their younger peers but success will go to the business that meets the expectation of the larger population.

Globalisation

Despite the recessionary doom-mongers, globalisation is here to stay. If anything, people will be more mobile. But a centralised approach to core services delivers more economies of scale. Globalisation means that managers must operate on two levels — globally, in order to maximise efficiency, and locally to maximise customer service.

Social responsibility and the environment

The pressure from both internal and external stakeholders will force management to ensure that social responsibility and green issues are almost always a consideration. Organisations will be expected to demonstrate their credentials and be transparent. Not only will they be compared to peers, but social and environmental issues are likely to become a bigger influence in customers’ purchasing decisions.

Change as a way of working

The pace will increase yet further, and so will the volume of information individuals must manage. It will be essential for organisations to separate the critical from the irrelevant — and quickly. Managers should also align ongoing change to a clear vision of the future. Change without purpose causes confusion, worrying and mental exhaustion.

Customer focus

With increasing access to information, customers are able to compare more potential providers. So businesses must deliver the best products and services in the market if they are to attract and retain customers. Management has to ensure that service is at the top of every team’s objectives, whether or not they are customer-facing.

Simplicity of process and structure

Complex structures and systems can hamper a company’s ability to respond. People like having expert knowledge that demonstrates their value, but this often leads to more complication or management levels than necessary and impedes communication. Management must ensure that processes, structures and communication are kept simple and focused. Communication across boundaries is vital to effective delivery.

Performance and engagement

Much depends on the ability of the leaders to get discretionary effort. Management has to ensure that leaders at every level are developed to encourage this extra effort. This is often neglected in management development.

Alignment

If people’s efforts are spread across a large number of possible outcomes, its impact is diffused. In organisations where the effort is aligned to a small number of key deliverable the benefits are significant.

Leadership

It is only through leaders being able to inspire, develop and align team efforts that organisations succeed. This applies to those responsible for the performance of people. Leadership is often thought of as a “nice to have” linked to HR. It is not. Management must focus in on making sure good leadership is a “need to have” that underpins every activity.

Focus on the following:
  • Get your organisation lean
  • Think global and deliver local
  • Social responsibility and green issues are need to haves not nice to haves now.
  • Change must have a clear purpose
  • Keep structure, processes, communication and delivery simple
  • All actions must benefit the customer
  • Engage your people to maximise their performance and align it onto key deliverables
  • Use the experience of your older workers to meet the needs of the younger generation
  • You must have good leaders at all levels — everything else depends on that
Good luck on your journey.

Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten Ten

So, it's the new decade already. 2010.

Ten years ago, I was 16 going on 17, the final year of my high school life. Sweet memories, as always.

However, we look back to our past, so that we know what have we missed, which turns have we wrongly made, what made us who we are now, and try and try and keep trying to be a better person as a whole.

There are so many quotes and sayings about "the past" which I am more than generous to share with you. Click HERE, and type "Past Quotes" in the Search Box, and there you go.

Today I want to share 10 categories of the decade. Here are the lists:
  1. Top 10 Songs of the Decade (by Rolling Stones)
  2. Top 10 Movies of the Decade (by IMDb)

  7. Top 10 Books of the Decade (by About.com)

*******

I'm kinda satisfied with the lists. They were all not entirely that bad, personally. It's not easy to choose from thousands of lists and actually make sense to me. You see, those lists were selected based on my personal opinions from different sources, safe to say from trusted sources, hence I put the source link so that you guys can compare to your lists (if you have one), even better from other sources. Perbezaan itu hikmah. I have to agree that a few categories were slightly biased (if not more), but I couldn't find a better list to top the one that I posted. Nevertheless, it's a good sharing.

So what about the categories?

Again, I can easily picked any Top 10's of the decade, but I personally chose those nine categories (apart from the tenth) because that's what I enjoy in my life. Music, films, art, sneakers, women, fashion/trend, books, cars, and sports. I wanted to squeeze in another category, which is "Top 10 Holiday Spots of the Decade" but I have no idea. I'll just leave it at that for now.

So what about you guys? Do you have any lists of the decade?

Just on the lighter note, in honoring the title of this entry:

Selamat kembali, dunia realiti.

I was out of the town for the whole last week of the year, including the New Year's eve.

I have been doing this for two years. And I have got to tell you, it's the best New Year.

People tend to exaggerate this whole New-Year-celebration thingy, but trust me, the feel is no way to be compared. I feel like KLCC celebration or whichever part of KL were celebrating, was like a kindergarten prom night compared to what I had.

I am still not in the mood to write.

Tomorrow will be a whole new thing altogether, trust me. 2010 we gonna sail the mother ship.
