Me(n)tamorphosis

In a few of my entries regarding life, love, girls and relationship, I wrote about why girls do this to us men, why did they turned us down, why did this and why did that. It's so unfair, isn't it? Why it's always us men that need to be turned down? Don't we all deserved to be treated the same way women get?

LIFE IS UNFAIR!

Who says it's not?

Now, I sound like a real jerk. It's alright. I get this a lot. In fact, I received few comments whenever it comes to relationship kinda topics. People love drama. I don't, to be honest but I love to watch human, how they react, what they think, how they respond. I love to study HUMAN BEHAVIOR, which includes A LOT of DRAMA. It's fun nevertheless.

Okay, where were we? Oh, about life is unfair to most of us men. Yeah, we were turned down, knocked down, shot off, and many more frustrating and pointing-the-other-party remarks. It's fine, don't worry. There's nothing wrong with that either. But what we need is a little bit of a tuning, tweaking.

Take this one analogy.

We all have a car, for example. Different models, but all standard. Different model means what our parents gave us equals to our up-bringing. Some people get a small, cheap car while some gets the opposite; shiny, vulgar, fast car.

So what we can do and yes we can, because it's our lives and we live for it is that, to learn and change your belief system. You need to transform. (Don't let me start on the lame Transformers jokes)

By learning and changing, you will begin to live in a realm where things are possible.

Stop asking or whining about why women turned you down. About why they never seem to give you a chance to make your point to them. Stop whining about you giving her all the attentions and gifts and not getting where you wanted to be with her. Keep this at the back of your mind, "Am I doing this to impress her or am I doing so in sincerity because I genuinely care?"

Step One: Stop kissing ass to impress women.
The kind words said by you, or the kind action taken by you will be appreciated if you do it genuinely, not to kiss ass. Women will appreciate it because they know you did not have to do it, but that you chose to do it.

Step Two: Commit to living your life to the fullest.
Your actions and behavior reflects that. Women are no longer number one priority in your life. You convey that they are not the most important things in your life because you have high self-worth and you are not bending backwards for people you have barely known. (But if you are already in a relationship, it's generally a good idea to let your woman know that she is important. However, this entry is not about relationships. It's about approaching women and dating them.)

Yes, only two steps, for now. One brick a day.

So, in this phase, you are a person passionate to live life and determined in what you want; women come secondary to that. You live life instead of being bound by ridiculous social rules every step of the way. You can live with integrity and honor and yet lead a powerful reality. Remember, just because it's a majority, doesn't mean it's right. It's only popular, and nothing else.

So, how will you make women feel after the transformation?

  • They will know that you'll show them a better time than average guys.
  • They will feel incredible when you do pay attention to them. The little things matter so much more now.
  • Since you love your live and aren't bound by rules of society, they will want to let loose with you.
  • You have energy and excitement and they will want to know what's next!
  • Because you live your own life, you are always a challenge, and they will find it difficult to resist a challenge.
  • They cannot quite figure out what you are up to.
  • You will bring passion and energy into their sometimes boring, structured mundane lifestyle. They cannot resist the appeal.
  • They know that if there is a disagreement, you will stand your ground. You are not a pussy and they respect you for it.
  • They will feel validated because they are able to get a guy like you. They know that you can get other women, so it's special that you chose them.
  • You are not insecure. You are comfortable in your own skin and you do not care what others think. That is appealing.
  • You are strong-willed and when the time is right, sexually aggressive. This also brings out their sexual side as well.
  • They feel the freedom to be sexual with you because they know they don't have to pretend to be some born again virgin. With you, they also can be free.
  • Since carry on as if women aren't the most important things to you, they will make the extra effort to matter.
  • Since you do not live by society rules, they will feel liberated hanging around you.
  • They will feel like they can show their sexual "Naughty" side and you won't judge them for it. In fact, you appreciate the fact that they can express their sexuality.

Remember, your perspective or frame will be, "I know what I want and I know who I like. Right now, I like you and I want to see you again."

You will give them the gift of you.

Crusading for the environment #1

Apart from what I do now (party and bitching over life) is another section of 'crusading for the environment". No, this is not another religion nor a cult. It's a lifestyle.

I work for EcoKnights, a non-profit environmental outfit based in KL. We did plenty of environmental events and programs, corporate and stuff for public as well such as Anugerah Hijau and Eco Film Fest.

At first, I was just a tukang angkat barang for them. I didn't care, it's good for my disabled leg also. One thing led to another, and after I managed the Eco Film Fest 2008, I was promoted as Programme Manager for EcoKnights. Nice.....

Anyway, one of the projects that I'm in charge now is the Internal Awareness Programme for Shell Global Solution Malaysia (GSMY). We have to install posters about environment and some static display (solar charger, recycled handbags, eco enzyme etc), environmental film screening, some environmental talks and other fun stuff. Not so fun to be honest, but I don't care. I enjoy doing it.

So the first installation was last April, about half a year ago. These are the posters that made to the wall, called ENERGY AWARENESS.

Basic understanding on energy efficiency and its common facts & myths

Daily energy usage and understanding phantom electricity

Types of renewable energy

Basic understanding of the renewable energy and the impact on daily usage

Today, after the Jumaat prayer, I'll be going to Shell GSMY office at KLCC for second installation, this time it's called TAKING ACTION. It'll be more on how to make your own eco enzyme and compost in your own house. Sounds cool, isn't it?

I'm only sharing this with you guys so that we learn something about OUR ENVIRONMENT. 2012 is coming soon to cinemas near you.

Together, we crusade for the environment.

Oh girl!

I don't like to be played, because I don't like to play around. I just don't understand whenever I like someone, why they have to play all sorts of game with me? Playing hard to get, playing nice, playing this playing that and I have no goddamn idea why. Where did they get these all from anyway?

I just wanna give him a hard time, that's all.
Like, really? Is that your intention? You wanna see how far we would go for you? Do you think you're worth that much, that we guys are the only one who needs to do everything to make you girls fall for us? By giving us hard time? Does it mean that you'll give us men hard time throughout our lives?

He's nice, but I'm still not ready to be in serious relationship.
Well well well, how nice of you ladies to say that. So what are we, some part-time call-boy to you? You call or you meet us whenever you don't have anyone else to see? Just because you know we are so into you, it's just perfect to keep us like a genie in the bottle.

I don't know if he's really sincere or really into me.
It doesn't matter! If guys make some effort to show or express our feelings by mere words or actions, take it as it is! Men are straight forward. We want girls, we say it.

I wanna take things slowly.
What are you, amputated? How slow do you want to do it? Guys like things to be fast. Race, 100 meter dash, rempits, cars, horse, fast stuff. We don't watch 200-episode-a-year Indonesian drama-mama. We go straight to the point. It's not how slow or how fast you go to get to know a man or to get into relationship, it's what do you know about him.

I wanna make sure I'm making the right decision.
Who are you, God? There's no right or wrong, only consequences. Yes, consequences are what you afraid of. But how do you know you're making a so-called right or wrong decision if you don't make A DECISION? Point is, there will always be sequence of consequences. You can always move around and make use of whatever that comes in the way.

Actually, I have a boyfriend, but I'm considering him as a replacement.
Get the fuck out of here. As much as you hate guys that treat you as our second girlfriend, so do we.

I'm writing this because I hate to be in this situation. Gosh can't you see that I am really into you? Can't you see that I'm serious? Can't you see that I'm sincere? You can't? That's why I'm telling you NOW. You know who you are.

Where the money at?

Back in the days (not my days, more like the 30,000 B.C kinda days to be precise) people used what we called Barter System to get something. It's the fundamental of trading. Bartering without using the money. It was all good because you trade your valuables with someone else's valuables. And the best part, it has to be mutually agreed between the two parties. Maybe if I'm the only guy who has ass-wipe towels in the town, I can barter with a goat or something. It depends on the demands. Cool isn't it?

Nowadays we use MONEY. It's controlled by CURRENCY. Those small piece of paper has value to it. Are you kidding me?

Anyway, I have a story to share. Again.

*******

It is the month of August, on the shores of the Black Sea. It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town. He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 dollars note on the reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to choose one. The hotel proprietor takes the 100 dollars note and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.

The butcher takes the 100 dollars note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig grower. The pig grower takes the 100 dollars note, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel. The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 dollars note and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit. The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 dollars note to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 dollars note back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 dollars note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.... .

*******

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States of America is doing business today.

Crash-course yourself in music.

Ya wanna be recognise instantly in the entertainment industry, spesifically in MUSIC?

Worry not. I am here to tell you guys and girls how to get the limelight you have always dreamed of since Akademi Fantasia was accidentally created.

Oh actually I don't have to tell you how, I'll just provide some excellent examples from few artists that actually made to the music scene.

And I don't have to tell you that these are all my personal selection and has nothing to do with other people's choice, Grammy or anything related. They're lame.

So here we go. I first present you..............

CRASH-COURSE #1

Jonny Jakobsen a.k.a Dr. Bombay. Tell me who never heard any of his songs? At least the Calcutta (Taxi, taxi, taxi) above? He's Swedish, by the way.

CRASH-COURSE #2

Born James Edwards, he flew into the music scene under the name of Jimmy Ray with the help of his manager at that time, Simon Fuller. If anyone's wondering, Simon was the manager for The Spice Girls and the creator of Idol franchise. Sounds big. Right. ~Who wants to know, who wants to know bout me?~ Erkk, no one?

CRASH-COURSE #3

Ben Wilder? No, Matthew Wilder. Matthew-fucking-who?

CRASH-COURSE #4

Sam Norman, or Samwell made him retardedly funny with his video What What (In The Butt). It's weird because the song is lincensed through Fatboy Slim's record label. Maybe Mr. Norman Cook has a thing for what's in the butt, I don't know.

CRASH-COURSE #5

I have nothing else to say about this El Chombo motherfucker. Must have been the best produced song of all-time. Effort rate? 90% of stupidity and drunk.

*******
Last but not least, if you want to be in the music scene, it takes a little bit more of effort and courage. Remember, don't crash yourself.

Beginning Of An End.

Just let me paint my pain
With blood shot from my veins
Sucks everything out until it is all drained
And let it pour like heavy rain
All over my world of emptiness and plain

The hollow that sorrow drinks
No more light would anything brings
The circle of death-chained rings

And the black stars appear in the sky
Darker than any dark should be
They dance to the misery of the livings
And laugh to the fear in our eyes

O' dying sun, the end of light
The end of living hopes
The beginning of hell, awaits.

The other side of me.

Our greatest fear.

Everybody has their own fears. Not enough money, not enough love, not having this, not having that. It's always has to be something of never-ending satisfaction and appreciation.

Fear of death is what most of us, if not all, most afraid of. Little did we know, the greatest fear in our lives is not death itself, or the absence of life, but the fear of the UNKNOWN. Who knows the unknown anyway, except God The Almighty?

I'd like to share this one quote by Miss Shyla, my beloved English teacher when I was in school, in her blog and I quote, it's like posting something in cyberspace, once you click enter, you no longer have control over it. I couldn't agree more.

Human, naturally wants to be in control. They love to control. They feel the urge to control things, so that they can do or have what they want, how they want. They feel as if WEAK is the only suitable word to comprehend the act of 'not in control' or 'unable to control'.

What we forget is to just let things go the way it should or the way it wants. We always think of ourselves, and ourselves only, aren't we? We shut others off from entering our deepest thoughts. We want to believe that we are right. Go ahead and prove me wrong!, often used by us, no?

Do we feel contented that we are RIGHT about something? Do we feel joyous to the WRONG of others? Do we feel superior that we are the ones with the ANSWERS? Or do we feel threaten by the difference of others? Or is it just how we react to protect ourselves?

What makes us react in such ways?

KNOWLEDGE?

Yes, knowledge separates human from animal, or you can use whatever analogy that you wish if you have a different opinion from mine. The thing about opinion is that, when a majority agrees on something, doesn't mean they are right, it only means that they are popular, and nothing more. Don't easily get manipulated by statistical number, especially us men. I remember long time ago I had a white, big-sized Stüssy tee written "Knowledge is King!". But after all, what is knowledge, really, but high-resolution regurgitation?

I'd like to share a poetry, taken from a book called A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.

*******
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

*It is believed or often said to have been quoted in a speech by Nelson Mandela. Nevertheless, it's something we should give a good thought about.

*******

I'm not sure what I really want to write, to be brutally honest. I was never sure and I don't know if I will ever be sure of what I'm going to write. I just write. But what I'm really sure is that, these days, I only believe what make sense to me. For everything else, I don’t bother.

This could be everyone's greatest fear

The most beautiful authentic eyes.

Probably most of you have seen some beautiful eyes , some of you might even own a set. Authentic eyes, not the one covered with lenses or anything. Those are just, artificial. And many of you have probably seen some beautiful eyes in a movie or magazine maybe.

I'll give you my all-time favourite authentic eyes. Not Aishwarya Rai, not Angelina Jolie, not Audrey Hepburn (although I really have a thing for her), not even Elizabeth Taylor.

This is Sharbat Gula, or Rose Sherbet, known throughout the world simply as the "Afghan Girl", a photo that was taken by American photographer Steve McCurry back in 1984, at a time when she was approximately 12 years old. The picture appeared the National Geographic magazine cover for June 1985, and instantly made a worldwide recognition. The photo of the girl was even selected as the cover of National Geographic 100 Best Pictures. You can read about the story of this girl HERE. After over 15 years, somewhere in 2002, the Afghan Girl was found again. I have the picture but I don't wanna post it here. Go find it yourself.

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, or the eyes are the gateway to the mind. I'd say yes. I'm so fascinated with eyes, not that I have some kind of fetishness toward the eyes or anything. Eyes are for us to see things, and, our eyes are for others to see inside us. How cool is that? One of the parts on my body that I find hardest to accompany me when I'm lying, are my eyes. They always tell the truth about myself. Well, erkk, apart from my dick, of course.

We always trying so hard to hide things in our lives. Our past experiences, our fears, our pains, our angers. I ask you this: If we hide everything, if we WANT to hide everything, then what do we want to reveal?

That photo of Sharbat Gula, with the most beautiful eyes in the world; I wonder what her beautiful pure soul was thinking about?

p/s- Actually, just now I just had a lunch with someone with one of the most beautiful eyes. Swear to God, I couldn't stop staring at her eyes. And she's naturally beautiful too. I wanted to write about her, but maybe not now. I wanna get to know her more.

Cool Covers: Kings of Leon - Use Somebody

People who evolve from one's originality of own thought, expression or imagination: CREATIVE.

People who make changes in anything established: INNOVATIVE.

I admire BOTH.

This time, I want to introduce a sub-topic of my blog, which I call it Cool Covers. It doesn't have to be strictly music, but can also be arts, or writings, or anything. Why is it called "Cool Covers"? Because the word "Covers" usually referred in music as a form of another party playing/performing/singing someone else's song. It can be a straight-forward cover, a re-make, re-mix, re-arrange or improvise. The word "Cool" of course refers to what I believe is cool to me. If it's cool to you too, then good. Great minds think alike. If not, then you have all the rights to disagree. I can't expect you to have the same taste in life like mine, obviously because my life ain't like yours.

At the moment, I will post more on music.

Another thing, the idea of "Cool Covers" is not to judge who or which one is better. It's under different categories. To compare CREATIVE and INNOVATIVE is IRRELEVANT. The songs chosen as cover versions are often from a completely different genre to that which the performer originates, and offer a new perspective on the original songs, mostly in acoustic set up. So the idea here is to give a different perspective (I love this word), to get the artists/performers out of their comfort zone and to see how far they're willing to take the challenge.

As for today, I want to officially start this special section. Actually I did post something about BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge before, check it out HERE.

Today, I chose a song by Kings of Leon - Use Somebody. I think many of you have listened to this song before. It's a nice pop-rock song, jiwang-jiwang gitu. I like it too he he he.

Now, listen to the cover by Grammy-nominated band from Tennessee, Paramore.

And now listen to the cover by the ever-cute British pop star, Pixie Lott.

I personally think they're both HOT! Well, my vote goes to Miss Lott though *grin*

So, what do you think?

Okay, let me help you out. In order for you to get used to my idea is that, you need to open up a bit. You need to let loose of yourself, have no expectation and try to relate as to how the cover is done by respective singer/band. It might be boring, it might be dull, it might be off but at the end of the day, you will get more ideas of how other people take something. There are no boundaries (soundtrack by Kris Allen - No Boundaries).

Comments are welcomed. Thank you.

Just get back up when she knocks you down.

Have you ever been turned down by girls/women?

I have. One too many times. Well, not a big issue, to be honest. That's how life goes. Crashed and burned. And when you're being crashed and burned, you ask the girl,"What makes you say "NO" to me?"

There are few possible answers:

"I don't go for younger guys."

"I don't date my ex's friend(s)."

"I like you as a friend. I just don't wanna ruin our friendship."

"I'm not ready to get into relationship."

"I heard you are a heart-breaker."

"I like guys who makes at least 'X number amount of money' a year."

And many more.

Funny, isn't it? Last I heard, the ratio of male to female is 1:21. Correct me if I'm wrong. Yet they still think they can get certain type of guys that fulfilled their list of "Criteria To Be My Boyfriend."

I think that's a bad idea.

First of all, you need to stay in the REALITY. How can you say NO before you even try it? Like I said, women have their so-called 'checklist'. When they see/meet a guy, they will rate everything;

how old is he,

what does he do for a living,

how tall is he,

his skin color,

what car he drives,

does he have a nice set of teeth,

who are his circle of friends,

and all of these non-stop outrageous bullshits.

Is it the reality check/shock that our expectations have yet again gone unfulfilled and that maybe just maybe they are more unrealistic than we’ve ever considered?

Pathetic.

You know what, does all that really matter? I mean, all these physical attributes (height, skin color, teeth, hair) and numbers (age, money you make a year, savings, expenses) and material (house, car, money, watch) are all that they ever care about. Not someone who can actually compliment and fulfill their NEEDS (not WANTS) on a deeper level. Emotion. Meanings in life. Experience. Drive. Motivation. Adventure. Challenge. Potential.

So guys, worry not. The idea is to keep practicing and keep trying. I'm not telling you to be a player whatsoever, but the more people you meet, the higher chance you meet the right one. And the thing about practice is that, the more you practice the more precise you'll be. Not perfect, but more precise.

Tell you what, you're not alone. Or I know I'm not alone in this issue. I've been turned down so many times by so many women. Well, there must be a reason why. But I truly believe that I will always being turned down, crashed, burned, overlooked and underestimated by women, until I find myself THE ONE. Until then, I will never give up.

Get yourselves a pair, it's gonna be really dirty

Perhaps if we’re successful in knocking that down the less likely we are to be knocked down when love doesn’t go our way.

Random Snapshots #3 (and a video)

I think all of these pictures were taken sometime last month of September. Nothing worth being nominated to receive the Nobel Prize or anything, because I only take pictures when it has some sort of value to me, or story to it. Other than that, nahh let the rest of the aspiring photographers with big DSLR with lenses longer than their dicks wrapped around their necks taking pictures of everything and anything in the name of art. Lucky because now cameras store all the pictures in digital memory, hence you notice DSLR in every four people you see on the street. Just imagine if they have to buy the film like last time? Yeah, DSLR is the new black.

Me? Not really my thing. I rather buy a super-miniature camera I can even put in my underwear.

Double barrel, better satisfaction.

Anyway, cut the crap. Let's start already.

I was cleaning my room the other day and managed to round up some clothes that I don't really wear anymore. Everything is in good condition, if not very good and it's all wearable. I would not give something that is not wearable, it's like ruining my fashion credibility. Anyone knows where should I give these clothes to? Orphanage or something? Be specific please. Thank you very much.

These items need new owners

More new owners needed

Found this nearby my house. Shit maybe they're setting up some refugee camp or secret place for Weapon of Mass Destruction or something.

Bar Mitzvah? Mazel Tov?

This is what you get when you buy a package. All-in-one diseases. I still buy though, for my dad and I. He said,"if I wanna stop, I wouldn't have done that 30 years ago." So did I.

New cancer product, it's like shampoo, 3-in-1

My youngest brother's 17th birthday. Yes, the one with the purple tee. The cake was half gone even before he blew the candle and the singing shit. Well, look at his size, can't really blame him though.

Haha look at my beloved nephew, Harris. This boy is so handsome I tell you. Wonder what was he trying to show with that face, dude's trying to be macho in front of some girls? U're cutting a cake boy, not human.

I told him to not be too serious. Do some charming face, baru lah awek cair...

He took the master's advice

Went for a dinner at March é with Pa and Ma and Sue. Owh and my friend Ado. I settled for something I've been drooling for a long time, the Wagyu Beef. Medium-cook. The texture of the beef is different, even though the one they have there are probably Grade C or something. Yeah, The finest grade of wagyu beef can go up to about $300USD per plate. Like normal plate, not dulang.

Lastly, this video is epic.

The derby of the century.

Till next time, suckers.
